In the State of Tennessee

Rising Sun

2027 will mark the 50th Anniversary of Memphis in May, which brought together people from all walks of life to create major annual events in Memphis, and selected Japan as the first nation to be honored, establishing both business and cultural bridges between Japan and Tennessee.
Since 1977 over 200 Japanese companies have created over 60,000 jobs and invested $20 billion in Tennessee. This has been achieved over 5 decades with the vision of Tennessee’s Governors and Department of Economic & Community Development.
To commemorate both the 50th Anniversary of Memphis in May and Japan as the first nation to be honored, Revival Memphis 501(c)(3) is producing the documentary.
The film will have its VIP world premiere in May 2027, inviting the heads of Japanese companies, dignitaries and all those participating in the project, including Governor Lamar Alexander, who has already been interviewed for the documentary by Lyman Aldrich, Founding President of Memphis in May.
The film will be shown on PBS stations, schools and libraries in the U.S., in Japan, and in perpetuity at www.Revival-Memphis.org.
